FAQ

Questions before you come

Everything guests ask on the phone, answered here so you can skip the call if you would rather.

Booking

Appointments & arrival

Walk-ins are welcome whenever a therapist is free, and midweek that is often the case. Weekends, foliage season and holiday weeks book out in advance — calling (228) 888-0888 a few days ahead is the safest way to get the time you want.

Twenty minutes before your appointment — thirty if you have also booked the bathhouse. That leaves time to change, use a locker, drink some tea and let your breathing settle before the treatment starts.

Please give at least 24 hours' notice so we can offer the room to another guest. If you arrive late, we shorten your session rather than push back the guest after you.

Yes — for any dollar amount or any specific treatment. Purchase in person or by phone, and we can email the certificate to you or the recipient the same day.

During Your Visit

Treatments & comfort

Undress to your level of comfort. You are draped with a sheet and blanket for the whole session, and only the area being worked on is ever uncovered. Reflexology and Tui Na can be done fully clothed if you prefer.

Say so, at any moment. Your therapist will ask at the start and check during the session, but you never need to wait to be asked. Adjusting pressure is the normal, expected part of the work.

Yes. Our side-by-side suite holds two guests and two therapists, and you can each choose a different treatment. Couples massage is $240 for 60 minutes or $340 for 90 minutes; the Lakeside Couples Escape adds the private rest dome and hot tub for $395.

Gratuity is never included in our prices and is entirely at your discretion. If you would like a guideline, 15 to 20 percent is customary for spa services in New York.

Yes. Every therapist is licensed in New York State and works strictly within their professional scope. This is a therapeutic practice — nothing else is offered or permitted here.

Bathhouse

Sauna, plunge & hot tub

Please bring a swimsuit — the sauna, cold plunge and hot tub are mixed-gender areas and swimwear is required. Robes, towels, slippers and lockers are provided with every bathhouse booking.

Ten to fifteen minutes per round in the cedar sauna, or up to twenty in the infrared cabin. Leave when you feel properly hot, cool off, rest, then go back. Two or three rounds is a full circuit — and drink water between every one.

Not at all. A cool rinse works nearly as well. If you do try it, thirty to sixty seconds is plenty — and breathe slowly rather than gasping through it.

Please speak with your physician first. We do not recommend the sauna, plunge or hot tub during pregnancy, and guests managing heart, blood pressure or circulatory conditions should get medical clearance. Prenatal massage and reflexology are usually excellent alternatives.

Guests must be 18 or older to use the sauna, cold plunge and hot tub. Massage and reflexology are available from age 16 with a parent or guardian present.
